He was born in Ankara, grew up in Izmir and is currently living in Istanbul.

Last year Evren Uysal released the singles “Kötü Karakter”‘, “4 Insan 1 Hayvan Etmiyor” and with the duet of Billur Yapici “Mona Lisa”. After releasing three singles his solo album “Güzel Şeyler Söyle” is telling us about different human stories and promises music notes of a lost world. As one of the most stand out rock male vocals of Turkey, Evren Uysal presents a musical world with rock, folk and electronic synthesis. “Güzel Şeyler Söyle” will be released on January 2018.

Evren was on stage for long years with his music band TAPE which was initially originated in İzmir. He drew attention with his two self albums “BAZEN” and “KIŞ UYKUSU”. He reached out to many Turkish cities through his CDs. Also he attended and performed on many radio and television shows. Evren Uysal was also the first winner of the musical contest called Battle of the Bands held by Boğaziçi University just to became, after a few years, one of the jury members of the very same contest.

In 2007, with his rock band called FOMA which he was one of the founders, he released albums as singer, composer and songwriter. FOMA achieved a sound success remaining for weeks on the top lists with their video clips and were nominated by many radio and youth magazines and “Best breakthrough artist of the Year”. The band shared the stage with many well-known local and foreign rock/alternative music bands and the band drew attention by their collaboration with the famous Fin rock cellist Apocalyptica and one of the renowned Turkish trumpet virtuoso İmer Demirer. “ALBÜM” was also sold in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland and Luxemburg.

Evren Uysal who learned French in elementary and high school has prepared his postgraduate thesis on “Assessment of the effects of the Piracy to the Turkish music industry in terms of popular culture” and graduated with master degree from Journalism Department of Ege University. Evren who is the host of Dream News broadcasted on Dream TV and the corporate voice of Dream Türk TV is also dubbing many advertorials. He has also a start-up, a record label called BIG FAT MAMA and he is producing alternative music projects.
